Welcome to the first event of 2017 from Re:Program!

To celebrate International Women’s Day, and introduce all of our new goals for 2017, we’re putting on a fantastic afternoon tea at Chapel 1877 with a goal setting workshop all included. This is our chance to share with you our vision for the future, and you’ll also get the chance to create your own vision board with a creative session, fuelled by tea and cakes!

Leading our goal-setting and vision boarding session will be the fabulous Cassandra Bodington of Action Coach. Cassandra is an award-winning business coach who started off in the financial services industry. After starting her own business in 2010 she moved into coaching entrepreneurs and businesses once she’d successfuly sold the business in 2015.

Re:Program is a project aimed at supporting and raising the visibility of women in digital, tech and entrepreneurship in Wales. Founded by Lyanna Tsakiris and Miranda Bishop, with a team of amazing women, our first event is a chance for women to informally get together to socialise and make new connections. If you identify as a woman working in tech, development, digital media, social or design, we want to hear from you!

16th March from 5pm – Chapel 1877 Bar and Restaurant

Often in STEM and digital women are in abundance at graduate level and middle management, but are rarely seen at higher levels, on conference panels or being paid equally. We’ve found that lots of digital agencies in Cardiff are male-led, with only one or two women in their teams, this can be totally brilliant for some, and lonely for others. These events therefore, are aimed at helping women meet likeminded peers, mentors, and friends in their industry.

For this event we’d like to make sure we’re providing a space for women of all ages to chat openly about their industry experiences. We will however, be looking to put on future events open to everyone, as we’re firm believers that women’s progress is not something women alone should be expected to tackle!

Know someone who’d be an awesome speaker? We’re looking for fabulous, inspirational female speakers to come and share their knowledge, experience and passion at future events. Give us a shout at [email protected] or on Twitter below!

Venue has plenty of parking at St Davids or opposite in the open air car park by the CIA. Also very close to both Queen Street and Cardiff Central Stations.
