Telecommunications giant BT has announced it’s to recruit an additional 36 people in Swansea as part of plans to employ 1,000 new contact centre staff.

The new employees will work mainly in customer service roles at BT Tower in Swansea, with recruiters currently in the process of looking for applicants in the city and surrounding area.

It already employees over 500 people at its Swansea site, and this latest employment boost is in addition to 150 jobs that it recently announced for the area. This brings total recruitment in Swansea to 186.

Successful applicants will be responsible for answering calls and supporting customers from right across the UK. They’ll provide them with technical and billing advice.
