Investments Works Highlighted During Adra’s Tour of Sites

Communities in Gwynedd are benefitting from Adra Housing Association’s on -going investment in the maintenance of its current stock of houses.

Representatives from Adra and its Board recently visited several locations across the county to see progress on a number of improvement schemes where work is already underway.

The delegation visited sites at Maes Padarn, Llanberis; Coed Mawr/ Penywern and Toronnen, as well as flats on Caernarfon Road, (all Bangor) and Fflatiau Llanbeblig in Caernarfon where they saw works taking place to install new windows, roofs, groundworks and external wall insulation.

They also visited Gwelfor in Rhosgadfan where 14 properties are having solar panels with a battery and infrared heating technology known as ‘nexgen’ installed.

Mathew Gosset, Assistant Director – Assets, said:

“We have an ambitious programme of works underway to enhance the quality of our homes across North Wales. That investment is reflected in our Corporate Plan and we want people to live in homes where they can feel safe and secure, as well as having energy efficient properties.

“We were delighted to show the Board Members around some of our current investment projects. They could see at first hand how our works are not only environmentally friendly but will also have a positive impact on people’s finances through reduced energy bills”.
