P&A Group Finished 2022 on a Fundraising High


The P&A Group finished 2022 on a fundraising high by presenting a cheque for £14,500 to the British Heart Foundation. The presentation took place at the Woodworks Garden Centre, in Mold, part of the P&A Group.

Chosen by employees as the company’s charity of the year for 2022, the British Heart Foundation helps and supports 340,000 people living with heart and circulatory diseases in Wales.

With an original target of £10,000, and smashing this target to reach £14,500, employees of P&A have undertaken a series of activities throughout the year to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. Earlier this year, 18 employees tackled the Manchester Marathon and, since then, many others have completed a very muddy Tough Mudder and the Clwydian Three Peaks challenge. Other activities have included raffles, bake sales, a wear red day, a garden product clearance sale and Christmas Attire Day.

Steve Morgan, Managing Director of the P&A Group commented:

“We are thrilled to have raised £14,500 for the British Heart Foundation this year. Every year employees throw themselves into fundraising and this year was no exception.

“During the year, many employees have also taken part in a CPR training course offered by the British Heart Foundation which was fantastic to see.”

Donna Stokes, fundraising manager for the British Heart Foundation, commented:

“A huge thank you to everyone who has made a donation to the British Heart Foundation this year and helped the P&A Group to achieve this impressive fundraising total. The money raised will help the BHF fund vital research into heart and circulatory diseases like heart attacks, stroke and vascular dementia, and the risk factors that can cause them, such as diabetes and high blood pressure”.

P&A Group are well known for its fundraising activity and in addition this year it has raised money for the charity, My Name5 Doddie. Managing director, Steve Morgan, along with three other local businessmen, completed a cycle challenge from Edinburgh to Cardiff, raising an impressive £28,500 for MND thanks to the support of suppliers, customers and friends.

The P&A Group comprises Zest, a leading supplier of award winning timber garden products, The Woodworks Garden Centre and Café in Mold, P&A Pallets & Packaging and St Andrews Business Centre for leased and virtual offices.
