Technology Connected is launching a new podcast series to showcase the opportunities on offer at this year’s Wales Tech Week.

The series will feature business leaders from across key sectors in the Welsh economy who will discuss the important role that tech plays in their potential to innovate and thrive.

Wales Tech Week, the nation’s largest international tech summit, is set to take place at Newport’s ICC Wales between November 24 and 26. It connects, promotes, and strengthens Wales’ position as a key destination for enabling and emerging technologies, driving innovation, opportunity, and growth.

The first podcast episode – Advising the Future: Innovation at the Core of Professional Services – explores how Wales’ legal, financial and advisory sectors are embracing digital tools and technology to support business growth, transform service delivery, and prepare for the demands of a tech-driven economy.

Host Avril Lewis, Managing Director of Technology Connected, is joined by Cai Gwinnutt, Co-Founder of Open Moove, Rupert Poole, Chief Technology Officer of Hugh James, Martyn Lamb, Director of Performance and Transformation at Cornerstone Finance Group, and Sarah Curzon, Partner at MHA, to discuss how firms are innovating through automation, AI, data analytics and client-facing platforms.

The podcast is produced in collaboration with Business News Wales, ‘Exclusive Media Partner for Wales’ at Wales Tech Week 2025, as part of its specialist podcast production service. It is available on all major platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Avril said:

“Wales Tech Week is a prime opportunity for businesses and organisations across private and public sectors to connect, collaborate and do business. With this podcast series we want to kick off some of the important conversations that will continue at the summit around how emerging technologies can drive economic growth and digital inclusion.

“Our episodes will showcase the key developments happening in different sectors around Wales, giving listeners the chance to consider what technological innovation means for their businesses, and to explore these opportunities further at Wales Tech Week.”

The first episode will be available soon.
