Finance Awards Wales 2024 Opens for Nominations with Exciting Additions to Judging Panel


Finance Awards Wales has announced the commencement of the 2024 edition, inviting applications and nominations to recognise and honour the exceptional contributions of finance professionals across Wales.

Now in its seventh year, these awards have firmly established themselves as a key annual event, spotlighting the finance talent that propels success in the region.

Featuring an extensive range of categories, from Rising Star of the Year to CFO/FD of the Year, the eagerly awaited winners will be unveiled in May at the prestigious City Hall Cardiff. The 2024 Awards aim to shine a spotlight on the extraordinary efforts of teams and individuals within the Welsh finance sector, underscoring their pivotal role in organizational success.

Finance Awards Wales Judges 2024

Matt Hyde, Managing Director of Finance Awards Wales, shared his excitement about the evolving focus of finance professionals.

“As our finance community continues to broaden its horizons, we are thrilled to explore talent in new categories, including the ESG Excellence award. This acknowledges the integral role that finance sector professionals play in driving positive change, alongside 13 other prestigious finance awards.”

In an exciting development, Finance Awards Wales is proud to announce two new additions to the esteemed judging panel for the 2024 awards. Sally Tuhami, Director of Finance at Confused.com, and Victoria Rose, CFO at Optimum Finance, bring a wealth of experience and expertise to enrich the evaluation process.

The judging panel, chaired by Ken Poole, Head of Economic Development for Cardiff Council, also includes Mike Fowler, Finance Director of Leekes Group, Emma Peterson, Director of Recruit 121, and Mark Tweed, Group CFO of Propel Finance. The addition of Sally Tuhami and Victoria Rose, along with guest judges, will ensure a comprehensive and fair assessment of the shortlisted candidates' personal stories.
