Cyber Security Consultancy Wolfberry Rebrands as PureCyber

Cyber security consultancy Wolfberry has rebranded as PureCyber as it looks to solidify its recent success and expansion.

The multi-award-winning Cardiff headquartered cyber security consultancy has gone from humble beginnings as a one-man-band IT start up in 2011, to the cyber-focused experts they are today.

Following a review of existing trademarks in the technology and cyber market, Wolfberry, which has clients across the globe, has decided to set itself apart. It has therefore reinvented itself as PureCyber to reinforce that it is not an IT company, but a business with cyber at its core.

The company has seen a steep trajectory of growth in recent years, quadrupling in size since 2018, with a strategy to double in size in the next two years. Culminating in a recent move to new offices in the prestigious One Central Square development in the centre of Cardiff, the business now employs 22 people.

PureCyber Founder and CEO Damon Rands said:

Damon Rands“The past few years have been incredible for us a business and I’m so proud of our evolution from IT start-up in a windowless office, to the successful cyber experts we are today.

“There is constant confusion that cyber is an IT function when actually we believe passionately that cyber security is best offered as a separate but complimentary service to IT, to achieve the highest levels of cyber safety. Reflecting on this, our journey and future growth strategy, we have taken the opportunity to rebrand as PureCyber.

“We’re founded and headquartered in Wales and incredibly proud of our Welsh roots, but we’ve also got a strong global footprint and we are excited to move forward with our talented team at the forefront of change and innovation as PureCyber. With more and more business – of whatever size – now dedicated to hybrid working, security for those working from home has never been more crucial.”

The company is on a mission to raise awareness around cyber security and the potential risks businesses face through the newly launched PureCyber Education platform and face to face outreach, as well as offering opportunities to the next generation of cyber profs through the PureCyber Academy.
