CarMoney, the rapidly expanding motor finance business, has appointed Rhymney-based Stefan Rhys Jones, an experienced automotive sector professional, as its new Regional Sales Manager in Wales.

Stefan, whose brief covers the entire country, formerly worked as a sales professional for Blackwood and Gwent-based Swift Cars South Wales Limited and joins a team determined to expand the CarMoney brand throughout the Principality.

CarMoney is disrupting the car finance market across the UK by applying technology to take away the discomfort of buying a car through helping guests smoothly navigate their way through the process, from choosing the right vehicle from a respected dealer, to putting the best finance package in place.

Stefan, who has recently become a first-time dad to daughter, Amelia-Belle, said:

I have joined CarMoney because I have always wanted to get involved in the finance side of the motor trade.

I am looking forward to visiting dealers throughout the country, getting them on-board with CarMoney and bringing in as many new deals as possible. From my home base in Rhymney I am only an hour’s drive away from Cardiff and Swansea, and I plan to be a regular presence also in mid and north Wales.

I had only heard good things about the CarMoney brand before applying for my role here and it seems clear to me that CarMoney’s ethos and culture will make it a great place to work.

The CarMoney team comprises highly experienced and motivated individuals who continue to spread the word about the effectiveness of the CarMoney concept. This is focused on aiding car retailers not only to increase the volume of cars they sell but also to enhance the profitability of each car sold. CarMoney strives also to support new retailers as well as maintaining good relationships with existing customers.

Alastair Grier, MD of CarMoney, said:

We are delighted to welcome Stefan as our first Wales-based team member and look forward to him strengthening our existing relationships with our dealer network, while also identifying and recruiting new dealers and introducers throughout Wales to come onboard and work with CarMoney.

Growing demand for e-commerce transactions means that CarMoney is accelerating its pace of progress in recruitment, technology, operational performance, and colleague training.

CarMoney works with Fintech businesses, AutoConvert, Lending Metrics and Xero, to increase efficiencies and to give customers and dealer partners a faster, slicker experience when financing a car.

CarMoney, which added 300 new dealers to its network in 2021, secured £782m of approved car finance in the year for customers across Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
