Caerphilly Tourism Association (CTA) recently held a successful Annual General Meeting at Llechwen Hall Hotel. The AGM was an opportunity to celebrate a great year within the industry and also to look ahead to 2019. CTA is a member led organisation made up of businesses in the tourism, leisure and hospitality industry within Caerphilly County Borough.

Working in collaboration to improve and promote the tourism offering within the county, CTA has over 60 members, including accommodation providers (hotels, B&B’s, self catering cottages and glamping), visitor attractions, restaurants, pubs, cafes and more. During the AGM members were provided with marketing and PR updates, an opportunity to meet fellow members and discuss future opportunities within the industry.

Lee Edwards, owner of Casa Mia and Chair of Caerphilly Tourism Association said

“As a businesses located within the town centre of Caerphilly it is vital for us to be part of the tourism association. We need to work together as a leisure and hospitality industry to ensure visitors to the area have a wonderful time, visiting attractions, eating out, and staying in our local accommodation. I’d encourage leisure businesses within the county borough to get in touch and find out how they can get involved and enjoy the great benefits of becoming a member.”

Benefits for members of the CTA include free or subsidised training, marketing opportunities including a listing on the destination website for the area visitcaerphilly.com, PR support and media opportunities, networking with other like minded businesses, opportunities to promote their business at events, industry news and updates through access to member meetings.
