Glamorgan Cricket has commissioned Cardiff based web development and technology company, UpriseVSI to design and develop a new club website.

Work is already underway on the site with it expected to go live towards the beginning of the new county season.

The project will help modernise Glamorgan's online presence and provide supporters with an improved user experience, with easy, seamless navigation to the key areas of the site via desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile.

Built upon UpriseVSI's bespoke content management system, thinkCMS, the new site will be instrumental in engaging with Glamorgan supporters and keep them up to date with the latest news and information at the club, both on and off the pitch.

Head of Commercial, Huw Warren, said:

“We're really excited to be working with UpriseVSI on this project and bring them on as a new partner.

“They are a local company with a strong background and history of web design within the sport industry in Wales having already worked with the likes of WRU, Cardiff Blues and the FAW as well as other international sports brands including the Jacksonville Jaguars, so we really see the value in developing a long-term relationship with them.

“Modernising the website and creating an improved customer journey is of key strategic focus for the club.

“We want to provide our members with an online platform that's attractive, informative and offers a great user experience.

“By appointing UpriseVSI as our new website partner and working closely with their team, the new website will certainly do just that.”

Managing Director of UpriseVSI, Gareth Rees Jones said

“With many keen sports fans at UpriseVSI, we were naturally delighted to have been chosen by Glamorgan Cricket to design and develop their new website.  It's an established and historic sporting brand with a world-class venue.  We look forward to working with the team at Glamorgan over the coming months and to use our experience of the sports digital sector to deliver a new online presence for the club.”
