Duo of North Wales-Based Businesses Celebrate Decade-Long Partnership

(L-R) Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK senior health & safety environmental manager, Mike Jolley; Knew Productions founder and managing director, Richard Knew.

A Wrexham-based video production agency is marking 10 years of collaboration with a leading civil engineering firm, with its work playing a key role in keeping the company’s staff safe on major infrastructure projects.

From on-boarding, induction, and wellbeing, to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) training, Knew Productions has produced approximately 20 corporate videos for Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK across the past decade.

Led by founder and managing director Richard Knew, the award-winning company began working with Jones Bros in 2016 when it created a people and plant interface zone (PPIZ) video outlining how employees and contractors should operate on a live site around heavy plant machinery.

The agency has since helped the Denbighshire-headquartered contractor progress a variety of schemes through site induction films that outline risks, policies, and procedures so all staff are equipped to carry out their assigned tasks in a safe manner.

Similarly, Knew Productions has bolstered Jones Bros’ commitment towards net zero by creating plant idling training footage to educate team members on how to reduce fuel consumption when operating machinery.

The decade-long partnership has seen both businesses develop a trusted working relationship which Richard believes has been integral for creating effective videos.

He said:

“Having filmed at construction projects over the years, our videographers understand how to behave on site and what it takes to safely capture high-spec machines and kit, which I think helped build trust between ourselves and Jones Bros from the start.

“Since then, we’ve worked closely alongside one another to evolve content, moving from purely health and safety focused videos to highlighting environmental considerations and staff wellbeing, which is brilliant.

“Overall, we’re very proud to work alongside another major North Wales company, helping produce powerful and informative footage that ultimately aligns with the firm’s goals.”

Jones Bros senior health, safety, and environment manager Mike Jolley said:

“Knew Productions’ attention to detail is second to none, and they understand our requirements, standards, and culture which is evident in the videos they have produced for us.

“We constantly receive positive feedback from our workforce on our videos including the quality, branding, and clear messaging.

“Overall, it’s fantastic to have such a mutually beneficial partnership with a fellow North Wales business and I look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship for years to come.”

Knew Productions has worked with a variety of construction and civil engineering companies.
