Construction work has started on a new housing development in Newport, ahead of its official launch this summer.

Bellway is building 152 new homes at Heron’s Mead – a development of two, three and four-bedroom properties, off Queensway.

This is the second phase of homes Bellway is building in Newport, following on from its popular Monks Meadow development next door.

Billie Oaten, Sales Director for Bellway Wales, said:

“We are really pleased that building work has commenced at Heron’s Mead, and we look forward to launching the development later this summer.

“There is a growing demand for new homes in Newport and our Heron’s Mead development will help to meet this need.

“The new properties have been carefully designed to cater for people at all stages of the property ladder, from first-time buyers and downsizers to growing families.

“We are expecting a great deal of interest in the new homes at Heron’s Mead, so I would encourage anyone interested to register for updates on our website to avoid missing out.”
