Torfaen Event Sets Out to Inspire, Empower and Connect Women in Business

Torfaen Council is set to run another Torfaen Women in Business Event.

Held at the Parkway Hotel & Spa in Cwmbran on Wednesday November 12, all proceeds from this year’s event will go directly to the Breast Care Unit at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, a state-of-the-art facility providing diagnostic, treatment, and surgical services for breast cancer patients across Gwent. Since opening, the unit has supported over 7,000 patients, offering compassionate care through a dedicated team of breast nurses, radiologists, surgeons, and support staff.

The Aneurin Bevan University Health Board continues to fundraise for enhancements to the unit, aiming to create a calm, dignified environment for patients and their families. Donations help provide additional amenities, equipment, and support services that go beyond NHS funding

Guest speakers at the event will include:

  • Eleri Siôn – Broadcaster and presenter Eleri brings her trademark warmth and wit to the stage. With decades of experience in Welsh media, she’ll share stories of resilience, creativity, and the power of women’s voices in shaping public life.
  • The Mellowpatch Company – Founders Julianna and Katie will share their journey of building a wellness brand rooted in natural remedies and emotional wellbeing.

The event will also include live entertainment, afternoon tea and networking opportunities. It will also feature a Mini Christmas Fayre with local businesses offering products, gifts, crafts, and festive items.

For tickets or to book a space at the Christmas Fayre contact businessdirect@torfaen.gov.uk
