Sigma 3 Kitchens Ltd Chairman, Brian Lakin, has been awarded the prestigious Special Achievement Award at the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2023.
This award recognises Brian's outstanding contribution to the organisation and the kitchen industry. Announcing the award was comedian Joel Dommett, and it was presented to Brian Lakin by Jay Phillips of Hansgrohe Group and Andrew Davies, managing editor at kbbreview.
Sigma 3 Kitchens Ltd was established in 1975 and founded by Brian Lakin, who started his career making cabinets for friends and family from an old army Nissen hut. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, and today, Sigma 3 Kitchens Ltd has six successful retail showrooms across South Wales and one in Esher, Surrey.
Their brand of kitchen furniture, Masterclass Kitchens, is a multi-award-winning brand of kitchen furniture sold throughout their retail showrooms and independent kitchen retailers across the country, with over 150 kitchen retailers.
Brian commented on the award:
“This was a great surprise. I am accepting this award on behalf of the team at Sigma 3 Kitchens. The success of Sigma 3 today is down to the whole team effort, and I want everyone to be recognised for their hard work too!”
Brian has also contributed to the local communities over the years, having served as a trustee of the Fairwood Trust; he was appointed High Sheriff for South Glamorgan in 2018/2019 and was Chair of the Tenovus' Closer to Home' Appeal, which successfully raised over £1million to fund cancer care in the communities, to name but a few.
The kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2023 recognises excellence in the kitchen and bathroom industry and celebrates the hard work, dedication, and innovation of those within the sector. The Special Achievement Award is given to individuals who have consistently shown exceptional commitment and made extraordinary contributions to their industry.
Sigma 3 Kitchens Ltd is proud to have Brian Lakin as its Chairman and congratulates him on this well-deserved award.
