Sigma 3 Kitchens Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Ambitious Growth Plans

A South Wales-based kitchen manufacturer is marking a half-century with a £20 million investment and a commitment to future growth.

Sigma 3 Kitchens was established in 1975 as a family-run kitchen maker in Barry. Over the past five decades, Sigma 3 Kitchens has evolved to have a national reach. Its portfolio includes five showrooms across South Wales, one in Surrey, and the renowned Masterclass Kitchens brand, which supplies independent kitchen retailers nationwide. The company also serves trade professionals and developers through its dedicated divisions.

A key highlight of Sigma 3’s 50th anniversary year is its ongoing £20 million investment project, aimed at transforming the company's production capabilities. Once complete, this project is set to triple manufacturing capacity, resulting in a combined manufacturing space of 200,000 square feet.

Supported by a team of over 230 dedicated staff, this expansion enables Sigma 3 to meet increasing customer demand and continue its trajectory of growth. The firm said the investment “reaffirms the company's forward-thinking approach and its commitment to futureproofing operations in a competitive marketplace, all within South Wales”.

Brian Lakin, Chairman and Founder of Sigma 3 Kitchens, said:

“Celebrating 50 years in business is a proud moment for the entire Sigma 3 family. Our journey has been one of constant evolution, and our success is a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication of our people. As we look to the future, our ongoing investment will lay the foundations for even greater achievements, allowing us to better serve our customers and maintain our position as an industry leader.”
