SECUREIT, a provider of fire and security solutions, has kicked off 2025 by officially launching its innovative Video Alarm System Pod (VASP) in south Wales.
The VASP combines advanced image capture technology with versatility and is tailored to meet the needs of residential house builders and construction sites. It is a compact, portable security device equipped with PIR-controlled video cameras that capture real-time images of its surroundings. Each unit is capable of wirelessly connecting up to 200 additional PIR-controlled cameras.
“Residential house builders face unique challenges in safeguarding their projects against theft and vandalism,” said Philip Popham, Managing Director of SECUREIT.
“The VASP has been designed with these challenges in mind, delivering a portable yet powerful security solution that integrates cutting-edge video technology with ease of use.”
The firm’s range of security solutions have already gained traction among leading developers, with SECUREIT’s proven track record working alongside prominent companies such as Redrow and Llanmoor Homes. The VASP’s system’s versatility makes it ideal for securing a range of sites, from single residential builds to larger-scale developments, the firm said.
John Reid, Head of Business Development at SECUREIT, added:
“The VASP represents a significant step forward in site security. Its wireless integration of additional cameras and portable design ensures it meets the evolving demands of the construction industry. We’re confident that this product will set new standards in protecting assets and providing peace of mind for our clients.”
The firm added that the VASP’s distinctive appearance —reminiscent of an intergalactic adversary in the iconic Doctor Who television series—provides an instant visual deterrent to those considering committing crimes on construction sites.
The VASP will be officially available for deployment from mid-January 2025.
