Principality Building Society has appointed an experienced former Chief Risk Officer, Ian Greenstreet, to its board as a non-executive director. Ian brings diverse managerial and board experience in banking, insurance, and financial technology, alongside skills in risk, strategic growth, and finance.

As a Chartered Accountant, Ian has extensive experience at an executive level, working in senior roles at leading financial institutions including HSBC, Lloyds, and ABN AMRO. He is also the founder and CEO of Infinity Capital Partners, a London-based corporate finance firm. Ian joins Principality as a member of the Audit committee, as well as the Governance and Nominations committee.

Sally Jones-Evans, Chair of Principality’s Board said:

“As a founding member of the Advisory Board of the London Stock Exchange, Ian brings with him a wealth of Board experience and will strengthen our capabilities significantly. His knowledge will be a real asset as we transform our core business of mortgages and savings and continue our journey as a purpose driven and sustainable company. Ian is eager to be involved in developing our strategy to have impact beyond our scale, particularly our ambitions around having a positive social impact.”

Ian Greenstreet said:

“I’m excited to be appointed to the board of Principality, a building society with such heritage and history. My experience will enable me to help the board fulfil its responsibilities with respect to overseeing matters related to risk management and internal control. It is a wonderful time to be joining a great member-owned organisation and I am looking forward to working on behalf of our members, as well as contributing to the Society’s long term sustainable success.”
