Planning Decision Welcomed for Affordable Homes in Gwynedd

Adra, one of north Wales’s leading affordable homes provider, welcomes the planning decision for 30 affordable homes for local people in Bethel, Gwynedd.

Planning permission has been given to develop the site opposite Stad Cremlyn in Bethel to include 30 modern homes, including 22 houses, 4 bungalows, and 4 flats which are a mix of social rent and intermediate rent homes.

Following the planning approval in December 2023, work is scheduled to start in the summer.

Daniel Parry, Adra’s Director of Development and Assets said:

“We are pleased that this development has been given planning permission, and we look forward to the work starting on the site.

“There is so much demand for affordable housing in Gwynedd and north Wales, which reflects the national picture. Adra has made a firm commitment in its Corporate Plan to build new homes that local people can be proud of, that are energy efficient, of high quality and affordable in terms of rent and heating costs.”

The aim is for the homes to be completed by early 2026.

If you are interested in one of the Social Rent homes register with The Gwynedd Housing Options Team at Cyngor Gwynedd. If you’ve already registered with Cyngor Gwynedd for a social home in this area, you don’t need to register again. 01286 685100 | [email protected]
