A salon owner from Llangollen has won the title of Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner of the Year at the Aesthetics Awards 2025.
Sara Cheeney, owner of Pure Perfection Clinic in Rossett, near Wrexham and Chester, won the Best Clinic Midlands and Wales category at the 2024 ceremony. Now she and her colleagues will aim for the treble in 2026 and enter the Best Clinic Team category.
“I am completely overwhelmed,” said Sara, who suffered with psoriasis as a teenager and ran Pure Perfection while recovering from breast cancer and raising her two children, Tomi and Eve.
“I am fortunate enough to have received several awards over the years, but this was the one I held in the highest regard as so many of my peers and mentors have won it, people I hugely respect who were an inspiration to me throughout my career.
“This feels like such a huge accomplishment and is a dream come true, after everything I’ve been through in past years, so thank you to my amazing team, I could not have done it without you.”
With almost 500 entries and 900 guests at the venue, the ceremony brought together the very best in medical aesthetics.
Shannon Kilgariff, editor and content manager of Aesthetics, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to recognise Sara as winner of the Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner of the Year category.
“At The Aesthetics Awards, we are proud to stand at the forefront of excellence, with our 100 industry-leading judges deciding which individuals, clinics and companies are shining brightest in the UK medical aesthetics specialty.
“Sara is a more than deserving winner for her valuable contributions to the sector.”
