The Marine Energy Wales Conference will return to Cardiff in April 2027, bringing together developers, suppliers, policymakers and industry leaders to explore opportunities across the marine renewable energy sector.
Following a sold-out event in Llandudno in 2026, the two-day conference will take place at the All Nations Centre in Cardiff on 14 and 15 April 2027.
Described by organisers as the UK’s largest dedicated marine renewable energy conference, the event will focus on the development of Wales’ marine energy industry, including opportunities emerging from offshore wind and tidal energy projects.
With floating offshore wind projects progressing in the Celtic Sea, fixed offshore wind developments off the North Wales coast and the first commercial tidal stream deployments expected on Anglesey, the conference will examine the opportunities these developments could create for Welsh businesses.
Key themes for the 2027 conference will include:
- Supply chain opportunities across the marine renewable energy sector
- The role of Welsh ports and infrastructure in supporting future projects
- Lessons learned from existing marine energy developments
- Developing the skills and workforce needed for marine renewables
- Emerging technologies and innovation within the sector
The programme will feature expert-led sessions, interactive discussions and workshops, alongside an exhibition showcasing businesses, technologies and services supporting the industry.
The conference will also provide networking opportunities for businesses looking to connect with potential customers, partners and organisations involved in marine renewable energy developments.
Tickets, exhibition spaces and sponsorship opportunities will be available from 1 December 2026, with further programme announcements expected to follow.
