Hodge Celebrates Awards at Industry Ceremonies

Hodge had a bumper award month last month scooping three awards at different financial industry ceremonies throughout the month.

Earlier this month Hodge was named as Best Later Life Lender at the Financial Reporter Awards – which aims to recognise and support the industry by promoting good practice and excellent service. This award was particularly important to Hodge as the intermediary community cast the final votes.

At the Fintel Awards, Hodge walked away with the Simplifying Complexity award.

One of the judges, CEO of SimplyBiz Mortgages, Martin Reynolds, explained why Hodge won in this category:

“Hodge has been on a journey after moving away from a market that it had held a prominent position in for over 20 years. They have reinvented themselves into markets that have been under served. They have used SimplyBiz members to test and learn prior to wider market launches and they continue to innovate. Some leopards can definitely change their spots.”

While at the Finance Wales Awards, Keith John, Hodge’s head of regulatory reporting, walked away with the Accountant of the Year award, beating off stiff competition from other finance professionals from businesses around Wales.

Dave Landen, CEO of Hodge, said:

“We are absolutely over the moon to see our awards cabinet fit to burst after a bumper May. For our staff, and Keith individually, to be recognised at such prestigious awards, which are so highly valued and well respected within the UK financial services industry, is truly amazing.

“It is testament to the hard work and dedication they continue to put into the work they do that they have been recognised in such a way. Our Mortgage team works hard to break down the barriers and dispel the myths around specialist lending and complex incomes.

“Our teams are there for our intermediary partners to help them disseminate what is going on in the market and to help their own customers. And as Mr Reynolds alluded to, we are constantly innovating, looking at ways to improve and change processes and products, such as the recent introduction of our professional mortgage.

“Huge congratulations to the whole Hodge family on a marvellous May.”
