A free business advice surgery is being held for Swansea businesses later this month.

Information about grants and loans, business support and help with funding applications will be among the assistance available at the event, which is being organised by Swansea Council.

The advice surgery is taking place on Friday February 23 from 10am till 1pm at the Rechabite Hall on Church Street in Gowerton. No bookings are needed, with businesses from across Swansea being invited to drop-in.

The event will also enable networking opportunities, signposting to relevant agencies and information about training and recruitment.

Representatives from the council, Business Wales, Gower College Swansea and the Development Bank of Wales will be on hand to answer questions and provide guidance.

Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Investment, Regeneration and Tourism, said:

“There are so many fantastic businesses in Swansea – not just in the city centre but in many other Swansea communities too.

“So to hold events closer to the doorsteps of these businesses, our business advice surgeries have been going on the road to try to assist as many Swansea businesses as possible.

“Like all events of this kind, the next surgery in Gowerton is a free, drop-in event where no bookings are needed.

“As well as information on funding opportunities and assistance with other areas of business like training and recruitment, the events also give a chance to network while signposting to other expert organisations who may be able to assist with further questions or queries.”

The monthly business surgeries are being funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

They’ll be held in other parts of Swansea in the coming months too, with details of future events to be published once they’re finalised.
