Accountancy and tax specialist Kilsby Williams has appointed Margaret Harrison as a director, strengthening the independent firm’s senior team.
Margaret joins the Newport-based firm from MHA, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and accumulated a wide and varied breadth of knowledge and experience to lead their business services team.
Specialising in advisory and compliance work for audit exempt SMEs, Margaret’s new role at Kilsby Williams will see her develop and grow the firm’s services for non-audit clients. She will be working closely with the partners, business services, tax and payroll teams to ensure that clients receive the quality service which is embodied by the firm.
Margaret said:
“I was drawn to working with Kilsby Williams as it has a strong local identity which, as well as being professional and commercial, puts commitment to clients and client service at its core. These are values which resonate with my own values and which I have worked towards throughout my career.
“The firm has a reputation for being an employer which values and looks after its people, and I’m looking forward to being a part of this team and contributing to its success.”
Jonathan Harrhy, partner at Kilsby Williams, said:
“Margaret’s reputation as a trusted business advisor, built on close client relationships and technical expertise, aligns perfectly with the foundation of our own client service, and we are delighted to welcome her to our team.
“We look forward to seeing her experience and expertise in action to elevate our advisory and compliance services for audit exempt businesses.”
Established in 1991, Kilsby Williams works with clients locally in south Wales, extending across the UK and globally. Their clients range from sole traders to international quoted groups.
