Encouraging Bright Young Minds for a Career with Openreach

Openreach’s Mark Davies, Senior area manager for East Wales and Gloucestershire spoke to Business News Wales about their partnership with Careers Wales and their aim to encourage more Welsh school leavers to consider a career with Openreach.

Running the UK’s digital network, Openreach are the people who connect all areas of the country’s infrastructure, from homes to schools through to hospitals and governments to the world. Through visiting several Welsh schools, it is apparent how little students know about what Openreach do.

Being an inclusive employer, one of the largest in Wales, they want to give pupils an understanding of all aspects of the business, from engineering through to Human Resources and management. Offering support with CV writing, information on their graduate schemes as well as a look at the welcome introduction process to what it may look like to start a career with Openreach.
