Digital Bank Supports Children’s Hospices with Annual Partnership

A North-Wales based digital bank is working in partnership with Hope House Children's Hospices as their annual charity partner.

Wrexham-based Chetwood Financial’s collaboration aims to support the vital work of Hope House, which provides specialist nursing care and support to more than 750 children and their families in Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales. Hope House Children's Hospices operates two facilities, Hope House in Oswestry and Tŷ Gobaith in Conwy, delivering essential services to families in need.

The first three months of this partnership have already seen success through two events organised by Chetwood: ChetFest and a Hackathon. ChetFest, an annual employee event, raised £7,000 to support Hope House.

Chetwood’s Hackathon brought together competing teams that generated conceptual ideas about schemes such as accessible holidays and days out, along with apps to provide access to live chat and trained counsellors. These ideas could help Hope House and potentially other charities in the future. Each entry was judged on user experience, functionality, and market innovation. This partnership underscores Chetwood’s commitment to positively impacting the community. The collaboration with Hope House is an important part of that effort.

Louise Millar, People Director, said:

“We’re delighted that our partnership with Hope House is off to such a strong start. Hope House provides an incredibly important service for children undergoing hospice care and their families, and being able to contribute meaningfully to their cause is truly rewarding.

“We have a strong commitment to community engagement, and through events like ChetFest and our Hackathon, we aim to bring our team and partners together to support worthy causes and create innovative solutions that can benefit the community. We are excited about the future and look forward to further events we have planned later in the year.”

Cat Dowdeswell, Fundraising Team Leader at Hope House, said:

“With more than 70 families living in Wrexham who access Hope House Children’s Hospices for support, it’s so important for local companies to work alongside our wonderful hospices to make sure we can be there for all those who need us.

“We were thrilled to hear the total raised so far and to welcome representatives from Chetwood to our recent hospice Open Morning. The team left inspired, motivated and educated, and we look forward to working together over the coming months.

“There are so many ways in which local companies can support our hospices, from volunteering to taking part in our events, and we are very excited about this partnership and our future plans.”
