A Cardiff-headquartered care company, which provides specialist supported living services to vulnerable adults, has been acquired by UK-based Accomplish Group.

Recovery Care, based in Cardiff, provides specialist supported living services to people with complex mental ill health, learning disability or substance misuse. The Company was founded in 2012 by Andrea Williams and Conor Rooney, who built it up to provide support for 70 service users across its portfolio of 13 care homes.

The Company, which was advised by Lexington Corporate Finance, has been acquired by Accomplish Group, which was established over 30 years ago and delivers specialist support to more than 1,000 people across England and Wales. The business provides a complete care pathway from residential care to supported living in the community and is a specialist provider for individuals with autism, brain injuries, mental health needs and learning disabilities.

The acquisition will provide Accomplish with a strategic position in the region in supported living and complement its other services locally.

This is the third recent transaction that Lexington has completed in the specialised care sector, following the sales of New Bridges to Accomplish and Montana Healthcare to Achieve Together, and reinforces Lexington’s position as a leading corporate finance advisor to the successful owners of businesses in the care sector.

The Lexington team of Thomas Edwards, Courtney Mattocks and Jade Burgess manged the entire process through to successful completion.

Thomas Edwards, Director at Lexington, said:

“It’s been a pleasure to have acted for Andrea and Conor and the sale of their business to Accomplish. The process was very competitive which is testament to the hard work of the Shareholders as they have built Recovery Care to be one of the leading providers in the region. Accomplish quicky emerged from the competitive process as the preferred acquirer given the strategic rationale and we look forward to seeing the businesses continue to grow in the future.”

Conor Rooney, of Recovery Care, said:

“Working with the team at Lexington has been a very positive experience. The whole team was always on hand to offer advice and reassurance throughout the whole sales process. They are professional and at the same time are very down to earth which made it easy to ask any questions however minor they may have been. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lexington to anyone contemplating selling their business.”
