Lee Wakemans, a Cardiff-headquartered provider of professional construction consultancy, is celebrating 40 years of providing development management, project management, quantity surveying, and cost management services across the UK.
With over four decades of experience in the construction and property, Lee Wakemans delivers professional services to a wide range of public and private sector clients, including residential, education, commercial, defence, health and leisure development. The company is particularly proud of its work in the healthcare sector, helping the NHS and health boards to create modern, safe facilities, such as the Oxford Cancer Centre, Velindre @ Nevill Hall Radiotherapy Unit in Abergavenny and the Bevan Health and Wellbeing Centre in Tredegar.
The company’s delivery has earned strong client endorsement, including from organisations such as Techniquest and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, who cite its commercial rigour, transparent reporting and consistent project delivery.
Reflecting on the past 40 years, Kevin Parry, Co-founder and Co-director said:
“This landmark is an incredible triumph. We have navigated four decades of market cycles while still delivering for clients. Construction isn’t easy: value has to be created and delivered ‘from cradle to grave’, decisions need to be made at pace, and things rarely run in a straight line.
“Longevity comes from staying agile, looking after people, and putting the project’s best interests first – always. We’re proud to have achieved this 40-year milestone and extend our thanks to everyone who has shaped our journey. We look forward to the next decade – same standards, fresh energy, great projects!”
Lee Wakemans is an active member of South Wales business network, Commercity. Founded by commercial banking specialist Jonathan Cave, Comercity brings businesses together to foster meaningful relationships and create tangible commercial outcomes.
Lee Wakeman's 40th anniversary comes as Comercity continues to support its growing membership of South Wales SMEs, and scales its operations through collaboration, accountability and shared opportunity.
“Lee Wakemans has been a Comercity member for the past year, and the networking opportunities have been a real benefit, enabling us to connect with other businesses and build relationships across the region,” says Charlotte Evans, Business Development Executive at Lee Wakemans.
“It’s great to see how much Commercity has grown, and we’re pleased to have been supporters from its conception. Supporting Welsh businesses and staying connected across the market is important to us, and Commercity has been a strong platform for that.”
As Lee Wakemans marks its 40th year, the company remains focused on deepening trusted partnerships, strengthening its capabilities, and building on the strong foundations that have defined its success to date.
