Specialist property adviser Christie and Co has been instructed to sell Briton Ferry Healthcare Ltd, which comprises two successful pharmacies in Neath.
The larger of the two pharmacies, The Quays, is located in a modern stand-alone building on the busy Briton Ferry Health Centre campus. It dispenses more than 16,000 items per month and provides a full range of services, on-site parking, fully trained and qualified staff, and is run on a management basis.
Located less than a mile away is Neath Road pharmacy, a high street pharmacy dispensing around 9,000 items per month. It is also run on a management basis and benefits from a freehold option, including a two-bedroom residential apartment.

“We bought the Quays pharmacy in 1993, and later the Neath Road pharmacy in 2004. Over the years, the Quays pharmacy, which originally dispensed 8,000 items per month, has grown to dispense over 16,000 items, whilst the Neath Road pharmacy has grown from 2,500 items to 8,500 items. Both pharmacies hold a close working relationship that remains to this day, and a super-established staff who have been instrumental in growing the business. Many are there from the early days of purchase.
“It’s now time to downsize the estate and unwind the portfolio of pharmacies and these two pharmacies, due to their unique positions, we have decided to put for sale either as a whole or as separate entities. They will both look after forward-thinking, aspirational owners, one serving the health centre, whilst the other serves the local community and surroundings.”
