Can You Advise the Welsh Government on Building Regulation?

The Welsh Government is seeking Members for the Building Regulations Advisory Committee for Wales – apply before 22 March

Building Regulations Advisory Committee for Wales (BRACW) advises the Welsh Ministers on making and amending of building regulations, and provides views on all relevant policy, technical and other related matters in Wales.

Welsh Ministers have a statutory obligation to appoint a BRACW and consult the committee (and other relevant bodies) for advice before making any building regulations containing substantive requirements.

BRACW is now seeking members to be appointed on a voluntary independent basis to represent particular areas of expertise and experience.

The Welsh Government is encouraging a wide and diverse range of individuals to apply for appointments to public bodies because it believes they should have board members who reflect Welsh society to help them understand people's needs and make better decisions.  Applications are particularly welcome from all under-represented groups including women, people under 30 years of age, black, Asian and minority ethnic people, disabled people, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

BRACW Members

Remuneration: Unpaid with reasonable expenses

Time Commitment: 6-12 days, with potential for 20 days a year.
