Action for Children's Fostering Wales service has received a highly positive report from Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), with inspectors identifying no areas for improvement.
The inspection report recognises the service's commitment to providing children with safe, stable and nurturing family environments where they can thrive, achieve their aspirations and develop the confidence and independence needed for the future.
Inspectors found that children supported by the service benefit from strong, trusting relationships with foster families, tailored support and opportunities that promote their health, wellbeing, educational achievement and overall development.
The report highlights how children are carefully matched with foster families and receive trauma-informed support that helps them feel safe, valued and understood. CIW also praised the service's effective safeguarding arrangements and its strong focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Children supported by the service benefit from meaningful opportunities that help them develop confidence, resilience and independence, while foster families provide nurturing homes and stable environments that support their wellbeing and sense of belonging.
The inspection recognised Action for Children's collaborative approach, highlighting how the service works closely with children, foster carers and partner agencies to understand children's needs, manage risks and continually improve practice.
Inspectors also praised the high levels of support, training and monitoring provided to foster carers, helping them provide stable, nurturing care that meets the individual needs of children and young people.

The inspection also highlighted the quality of leadership and management within the service, noting that effective governance, oversight and a skilled workforce help drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children.
Children were found to benefit from safe, well-maintained homes and creative engagement opportunities that support their wellbeing and help them develop a strong sense of identity and belonging.
Action for Children Fostering Wales recruits, assesses and supports foster families across Wales, helping children and young people who are unable to live with their birth families experience the love, stability and support they need to flourish.
