Ajuda MD Takes Her Business Expertise Across the Atlantic

The managing director of a Cardiff-based training company is taking her business expertise across the Atlantic.

Dawn Evans, who is MD of Ajuda Training Academy, has joined with California-based Dr Emily Letran to develop specialist coaching which will be delivered in Miami, Florida.

Cardiff Bay-based Ajuda is a multi-award-winning company which delivers fully accredited vocational courses and qualifications to private companies and public sector organisations across the UK. Ajuda’s suite of training courses includes, amongst others, first aid and mental health training, manual handling, health and safety, food hygiene, fire safety, and safeguarding.

Earlier this year Ajuda became the official first aid training provider for the Welsh Government, while also winning competitive tenders to provide first aid training to both Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and Cardiff Council.

In its almost 15 years of operation, Ajuda has delivered training to almost 100,000 people across England and Wales, providing them with fully accredited qualifications in a variety of vocational courses.

Dr Letran is an author of several books, including ‘From Refugee to Renaissance Woman’ in which she shares her story going to the US as a 13-year-old refugee, and ‘Commit to Embracing Your Big Life’, which offers insights and strategies for building a strong business.

She is a Certified High Performance Coach, helping business professionals achieve success in personal and business life, to streamline their businesses and increase profits by winning back time from work so they can enjoy that time with their family, children, and to pursue their passions.

A trained dentist, she also created the Emily Letran Foundation, which is dedicated to providing basic dental care to veterans and families of disadvantaged background.

The first training to be offered by the partners is being held in Miami at the start of 2024, and will include coaching on a number of business skills, including improving mindset, getting rid of imposter syndrome, the power of networking, increasing income streams, sales conversion, and improving social media profiles.

“By working with Dr Letran we are able to bring together our 25 years of business experience and use that to develop our clients,” Mrs Evans said.

“Between us we have secured a variety of qualifications and have won a number of awards which, in turn, have seen us regularly invited to speak at business events around the globe – in October we shared a stage in both the US and UK, highlighting our strategies for business growth and being a high performer.

“Our skills really do complement each other, as high performance and business growth goes hand in hand.”
