Cardiff Event Focuses on Securing Land for New Homes Across Wales and the West of England

By Housing · 1 Nov 2026 · 1 min read

Bellway Wales hosted an event in Cardiff last month which brought together landowners, agents and consultants involved in the land acquisition and planning process.

The homebuilder’s land team organised the networking event for guests at Le Monde restaurant and discussed potential new development opportunities and the company’s plans for future growth.

Bellway Wales, which has its divisional headquarters in St Mellons, Cardiff, is currently building new homes in Wales at Longwood Grange in Lisvane, near Cardiff, and at Alder Grove in Llanwern, Newport, as well as three developments in Gloucestershire – at Blackthorn Walk and Hawthorn Park in Gloucester and at Forest Walk in Lydney.

The division has recently completed developments at Coed Derw in Llantwit Fardre and Parc Mawr in Penllergaer, and has several sites in the pipeline including Pomona Grove in Hereford and Craig Y Parcau in Merthyr Mawr, Bridgend.

Elgan Daniel, Land Director for Bellway Wales, said:

“The delivery of much-needed new homes in South Wales and the west of England depends on an available land coming forward for development – and our role as a land team is very much about making sure that can happen in a timely and efficient way.

“We work closely with landowners, agents and consultants on sites which are suitable for new residential neighbourhoods, and design well-thought-out, sustainable developments to ensure we achieve planning permission.

“As a five-star rated housebuilder with the Home Builders Federation, Bellway has a strong track record of building high-quality developments which meet the needs of local people.

“The networking event brought stakeholders together to discuss the process and highlight our role in helping to secure the best outcomes for everyone, including landowners and local communities.”
