Leading waste management and recycling company, Gavin Griffiths Group, has strengthened its team as it prepares for its next phase of growth.
The Swansea and Carmarthenshire-based business has made a key new appointment and promoted from within to create a new management structure to drive forward business expansion.
Darren Griffiths is joining the business as Managing Director of Griffiths Waste Management. With a strong background in sales and business development, both within the waste and recycling sector as well as in the financial and retail sectors, Darren is bringing a clear vision to drive growth.
To further strengthen the Group, Jake Stephens will move into the role of Managing Director of Gavin Griffiths Recycling. Jake has been with the business for 16 years and leads a team of more than 60 people across the wash plant in Cwmgwili, recovering aggregates and highways contracts. His promotion to this senior role recognises the difference he has already made and solidifies his commitment to steering Gavin Griffiths Recycling into its next phase of growth.

As well as waste management and recycling, Gavin Griffiths Group offers a wide range of services from haulage and contracting to plant hire and vacuum excavation. The business also has an innovation division that drives forward solutions to create new uses for waste material. Its most recent innovation is soil steaming technology that kills harmful pathogens in soil without the need for chemical intervention, allowing for previously contaminated soil to be re-used.
