Barcud Group, in its recently published Annual Report, has commited to creating an ambitious, forward-thinking business which is focused on developing affordable homes for rent and purchase, as well as providing essential first-class housing support and maintenance/ adaptation services for tenants and residents.
The Annual Report states how the last 12 months have been about strengthening the way Barcud group works together as one organisation so it can better serve its communities now and into the future.

The Barcud Group is based in mid and west Wales and comprises Barcud Housing Association, Care and Repair in Powys, The Care Society and EOM. Barcud Group has 4,493 homes throughout Powys, Ceredigion, north Pembrokeshire and north Carmarthenshire. In addition, it has 936 other properties including shared ownership, garages and rent to own homes.
Barcud sets out how it has met its five strategic objectives in the annual report:
- To maximise the provision of affordable, energy efficient homes in mid and west Wales. Providing affordable, energy-efficient homes is one of our key priorities. Good quality homes improve people's health and wellbeing, support stronger communities and help meet the economic and environmental needs of mid and west Wales.
- To be a bilingual, tenant focused landlord that works with partners to support the local economy, communities and tackle homelessness. Barcud plays an important role in supporting the wellbeing and stability of the people and communities it serves.
- To be an inclusive, first-class employer that fosters a positive culture and is dedicated to developing its employees. With over 300 colleagues across the Barcud Group, our people are central to everything we do. Their commitment and professionalism enable us to deliver the high quality services our tenants rely on.
- To be a sustainable, low carbon organisation. Barcud is committed to reducing carbon emissions and to providing high quality, affordable homes and creating sustainable communities.
