100 New Jobs at Cardiff Software Company

Software start-up company Aforza is creating 100 jobs in the Welsh capital thanks to £900,000 support from the Welsh Government.

The firm is currently based at the Tramshed Tech working hub in Cardiff where it has a Research and Development lab and customer support centre.

Aforza specialises in supplying a complete end-to-end software solution for consumer goods companies that helps them to plan, promote and sell their products more efficiently.

The £900,000 support from the Welsh Government’s Economy Futures Fund will be key to the firm’s growth plans, enabling it to create new, high quality jobs.

The company is also backed by key Silicon Valley investors.

Deputy Minister for Economy and Transport, Lee Waters said:

“It’s fantastic news that Aforza is creating an additional 100 jobs in Cardiff, especially given the severe impact coronavirus has placed on our economy.

“It’s clear the company is on the rise and its plans for growth puts them in a strong position for the future.

“The tech sector in Wales has an absolutely crucial role in our economic recovery as we cope with the impact of the pandemic and businesses like Aforza must and will be at the very heart of that going forward.

“I’m delighted we have been able to provide important financial support to the company which will be vital in helping them deliver their goals. Their growth is also a testament to the skilled workforce we have here in Wales.”

Aforza CEO, Dominic Dinardo said:

“The Economic Future Funding Grant given to Aforza by the Welsh Government has been pivotal in our decision to base our R&D and customer support operations in Cardiff, creating new jobs in the region now and in the future.

“In the last few months alone, in what have been very challenging times, it has given us the confidence to grow our team in Cardiff by over one third. I would like to personally thank the Welsh Government for its support and innovation in making this happen.”
