Wrexham University Invites Industry Professionals to Degree Apprenticeship Recruitment Event


Wrexham Glyndwr University's Enterprise team is inviting industry professionals and employers to attend the Degree Apprenticeship Recruitment Event on June 8th, from 10.00am – 12.30pm.  

Degree apprenticeships are an excellent way to upskill your workforce or enhance your own skills and knowledge, while gaining valuable work experience. This event will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about degree apprenticeships, speak with current apprentices and employers, and receive information from university staff about the application process and entry requirements.

“We are excited to host the Degree Apprenticeship Recruitment Event at Wrexham Glyndwr University,” said Chloe Huxley, Business Development Partner for the Enterprise team. “This is an excellent opportunity for professionals to explore the benefits of pursuing a degree apprenticeship and learn about the different apprenticeships available in key industry areas, especially in fields including engineering and low carbon energy.”

The event will feature a range of activities, including talks from current apprentices and employers, and opportunities to speak with university staff. Attendees will also receive a complimentary lunch.

The Degree Apprenticeship Recruitment Event at Wrexham University will also showcase the many benefits of pursuing a degree apprenticeship for both employers and individuals.

Degree apprenticeships offer a unique opportunity to earn a degree while gaining valuable work experience, making individuals highly sought-after candidates for future employment opportunities. Employers who participate in degree apprenticeship programs benefit from developing a highly skilled and motivated workforce, while also contributing towards narrowing the regional skills gap.

Wrexham University is committed to supporting the local workforce through a range of degree apprenticeships, including mechanical, electrical and production, and is currently the only university in the region to offer an apprenticeship in Low Carbon Energy, Efficiency and Sustainability, leading the way in developing individuals equip to work towards a green economy. The university's Enterprise team is available to provide support and guidance to employers and individuals interested in pursuing a degree apprenticeship, from initial inquiry through to program completion.
