Business owners gathered at Salisbury's Chartered Accountants' new Llangefni base for a Making Tax Digital event.
The office’s eight-strong team has expanded rapidly following the acquisition of IG Jones Accountants.
The event – attended by up to 30 people – highlighted growing demand for practical guidance as businesses prepare for the next phase of the Government's Making Tax Digital (MTD) reforms.
Making Tax Digital is the UK Government's programme to modernise the tax system through digital record keeping and online tax submissions. From April 2026, many sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 will be required to comply, with the threshold reducing to £30,000 from April 2027.
Director Aled Roberts said the turnout reflected the company’s commitment to combining regional growth with a personal, local service.
“We've experienced significant growth over the last few years, but our philosophy hasn't changed,” he said.
“The response to the session was fantastic and shows that, while the profession continues to evolve, people still value having trusted advisers they can sit down and talk to.
“Having a permanent base in Llangefni means we're even more accessible for businesses and individuals across Anglesey. We want clients to know there is always someone here to help them understand changes like Making Tax Digital and guide them through the process with confidence.”
Director Jeremy Salisbury said the successful integration of the former IG Jones practice reflected the firm's long-term approach to growth.
“We've always believed in building lasting relationships with clients and becoming part of the communities we serve,” he said.
“The transition has been incredibly positive, thanks to a fantastic team and loyal clients who have embraced the next chapter with us.”
Director Jason Matischok added:
“As we've grown, we've deliberately invested in offices where our clients are based. Whether someone is starting a business, planning for the future or preparing for changes such as Making Tax Digital, we're here to offer straightforward advice and ongoing support.”
Accounts Manager Catrin Mather, who lives in Y Felinheli, said she had been overwhelmed by the welcome they have received in the town.
“It's a fantastic location and we've had such a positive response from both clients and the wider community,” she said.
“I've really enjoyed becoming part of the team. This was a great session, and it was fantastic to see so many clients and such a variety of businesses here on such a warm summer's day.”
Consultant Gavin Williams, who spent more than 40 years in the profession and previously owned IG Jones Accountants, said he had always been confident the practice was in safe hands.
“The transition has been incredibly smooth and successful,” he said.
“I'm so proud to see Salisbury's taking the business forward and to still be a part of that journey. The team they've built is outstanding and clients have responded brilliantly.”
With offices in St Asaph, Ruthin, Mold, Beaumaris, Menai Bridge and Llangefni, Salisbury's has doubled its workforce in just two years and now employs almost 50 people across North Wales.
