SkillsFest 2025 Returns with Practical CPD for Skills-Based Teaching

ISEIW skillsfest

SkillsFest 2025 is returning this October and November, offering a series of hands-on continuing professional development (CPD) sessions for learning professionals across Wales.

The programme, led by Inspiring Skills Excellence in Wales, is part of the Developing Excellence initiative, which supports educators in embedding competition-style learning into their teaching.

The CPD sessions are designed to help tutors and trainers:

  • Build confidence with new technologies
  • Align delivery with current industry standards
  • Support learners in skills competitions

The SkillsFest 2025 schedule includes:

  • 21 October: Beauty Therapy and Practitioner
  • 22 October: Carpentry & Joinery; Cyber Security; Automation and Additive Manufacturing
  • 24 October: Electrical and 3D Game Art
  • 29 October: Wind Power Systems
  • November 2025: Creative Make-Up (SFX Focus)

Each session is practical, sector-focused, and competition-aligned, with contributions from industry experts, competition judges, and experienced educators. Participants will gain tools, strategies, and insights to implement directly in their teaching.

Spaces are limited and demand is high. Full session details and bookings are available at: https://inspiringskills.gov.wales/events
