The Tropical Zoo has partnered with Magic Memories, a global leader in experience capture for the attractions industry, and is the first attraction in the UK to launch its new selfie kiosks.
Plantasia Tropical Zoo features hundreds of tropical plants, alongside over forty animal species such as crocodiles, meerkats, snakes and leopard cats. The experience has been enhanced with a new multimedia content offering from Magic Memories, which creates and delivers content directly to guests’ smartphones, including sharable magic photos, videos and selfies.
All guests who visit the unique Rainforest Zoo will, for free, receive the opportunity to capture images with an array of backdrops and animals as part of their jungle experience. With much of the population hooked on sharing experiences through photos, the newly developed system proves to be a big success for the South Wales venue, and its visitors.
Plantasia Tropical Zoo’s general manager Anthony Williams adds that the new development was an opportunity to capitalise on an increase in guests wanting to capture and share their attraction experience.
“This solution from Magic Memories was unlike any others and is perfect for our zoo. Our model provides it for free to every visitor, and it adds so much to the guest experience. The feedback from our visitors since launch has been amazing! This new partnership really does create magical memories for guests to Plantasia Tropical Zoo.”
John Wikstrom, executive director and founder of Magic Memories says
“We are delighted to have Plantasia Tropical Zoo as part of our family of partner attractions and to ‘make people smile’ as they engage with the flora and fauna at this special zoo.
“Creating bespoke content experiences for our partners is what we do best – finding new ways to showcase the joy of visiting an attraction like Plantasia.”
Swansea Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said:
“This innovative new feature at Plantasia will be a big hit with the public.
“Our partners at Parkwood Leisure run this city centre facility on our behalf and I urge people to go and see for themselves what a wonderful place it is for all the family.”
