Private hire technology business Veezu has announced its renewed support for NSPCC Cymru this December.
Throughout the month, a proportion of revenue from every journey booked via the Veezu app will be donated to NSPCC Cymru to support its Childline service.
This continued partnership builds on more than £40,000 already donated by Veezu since 2023, helping the charity to meet the rising demand for its essential services. The initiative also forms part of Veezu’s wider ‘Funded by Veezu’ programme, which supports local charities, sports teams and community projects across the UK.
NSPCC Cymru offers a safe, confidential space with trained counsellors available day and night to listen and provide support.
Sally Krouma, Marketing Manager at Veezu, said:
“Supporting NSPCC Cymru is an important part of our commitment to the communities we operate in, and our focus this year is on helping NSPCC Cymru reach as many young people as possible. Their Childline service provides essential, confidential support, and by contributing a proportion of our app booking revenue, we aim to help ensure counsellors can be there whenever a child needs someone to talk to.”
Hywel Peterson, Chairman of NSPCC Cymru’s Fundraising Board, added:
“We are extremely grateful to Veezu for their continued support. Every contribution helps ensure our counsellors can be there for children and young people whenever they need us. Partnerships like this are essential in helping us keep children safe and give them hope for a brighter future.”
