Principality Intermediaries Hosts Power of 8 Lender Event in Cardiff

Mortgage brokers joined Principality Building Society, Accord Mortgages, Mansfield Building Society, Paragon, Pepper Money, Kensington Mortgages, Hodge and South Wales Police for the latest Power of 8 event at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Led by Jo Silcox, Business Development Manager for Principality Intermediaries, mortgage brokers at the event gained insights into the core offerings of each lender.

Andy Mottram, Head of Lending Product for Principality Building Society, gave an update on the wider economic landscape and the Welsh Housing market.

Andy Mottram said:

“It’s a pleasure to bring lenders together to share best practice and strengthen relationships, while focusing on a common goal: supporting people to buy their first home or take their next step.

“While 2026 has brought some volatility to the housing market, there’s still underlying resilience – particularly among first-time buyers – so modest price growth is likely to continue.

“Looking ahead, geopolitical uncertainty remains, but increasing housing supply and continued lender support is integral to keeping opportunities within reach and the market sustainable across Wales.”

Lender collaborative events are scheduled throughout the year including the Welsh Lender Event in October, where the event will be held in Wrexham for the first time.

Principality Intermediaries is part of Principality Building Society, a mutual organisation which is owned by customers and not shareholders, aims to support and build a new generation of savers and homeowners.
