Packaging Firm Expands Footprint in South Wales

A South Wales packaging firm has expanded its footprint in Blaenau Gwent Borough Council.

TS Packaging has purchased the freehold interest in a 12,603 sq ft unit at Tredegar Business Park.

The company was previously based at the Heads of the Valley Industrial Estate in Rhymney. The new unit will allow them and their sister company Platt Packaging Ltd to expand their operations whilst also staying in the local area.

Property firm, Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of TS Packaging whilst the vendor was represented by Jenkins Best and B2P Commercial Property Consultants.

TS Packaging Ltd and Platt Packaging Ltd are privately family-owned companies which both specialise in the packing and repacking of goods and the production of thermoformings for sale mainly in retail outlets. Their services include blister sealing, shrink wrapping, skin packing, hand assembly, labelling and custom packaging.

Chris Yates, Partner in Cushman & Wakefield Logistics & Industrial team, said:

“We are pleased to have supported TS Packaging with their expansion plans. The new unit is of a modern specification and will provide them with an excellent base in the region. It’s also great to see a local business doing well in the current challenging economic climate.”
