Organisations across Wales are being encouraged to take part in a new Cross-Sector Challenge initiative, launched as part of the inaugural Wales Fintech Festival, aimed at driving innovation and collaboration between industries.
Led by FinTech Wales, the initiative offers businesses the opportunity to submit real-world challenges that could benefit from the expertise and innovative solutions emerging from Wales’ fast-growing fintech and technology ecosystem.
The Cross-Sector Challenge is open to organisations of all sizes and sectors, providing a platform to explore how fintech can support areas such as payments, supply chains, digital identity, sustainability, and customer engagement.
Participating organisations are invited to submit a business challenge or opportunity they are looking to address. These challenges will then be shared anonymously with the FinTech Wales network, enabling fintech and tech companies to propose innovative solutions.
All responses will be returned to the submitting organisation for review, with the option to connect directly with solution providers to explore potential collaborations. There is no obligation to proceed, but the process is designed to spark meaningful conversations and partnerships.
A selection of standout challenges and solutions will be showcased at the Wales Fintech Festival, taking place on 3rd June 2026 at the Swansea Building Society Arena.
The initiative highlights the growing role of fintech beyond financial services, demonstrating how collaboration across sectors can improve efficiencies, solve complex problems, and contribute to economic growth across Wales.
