Cardiff-based EV charging specialist The Full EV has been appointed as the official home charger installation partner for VOLT, the approved used electric vehicle programme operated by Nathaniel Cars, Wales’ largest EV retailer.
Under the agreement, customers purchasing through the VOLT programme will receive access to The Full EV’s installation service, covering hardware advice, full installation management and configuration of smart energy tariffs. The company, which has completed more than 1,500 installations since its founding in 2022, said the partnership would bring home charging infrastructure to a significantly wider customer base across South Wales.
VOLT includes battery health inspections with certified grading, lifetime MOTs, and an affordable EV pledge.
Leighton Davies, Co-founder, The Full EV, said:
“Nathaniel Cars is the benchmark for EV retail in Wales. They’ve sold more electric vehicles than any other dealer in the country for three years running, and VOLT exists because they understand that buying the car is only part of the commitment their customers are making.
“We’re proud to be part of that. Our job is to make sure every VOLT customer has a home charging setup that works for them, the right charger, installed properly, configured to save them money every night. That’s what we do every day, and we’re delighted to be doing it alongside a brand that takes the same care with everything they put their name to.”
Jo Thomas, Head of Sales, Nathaniel Cars, said:
“At Nathaniel Cars, we’ve always believed that selling an electric vehicle is only the beginning of our commitment to the customer. VOLT was built to give buyers confidence at every stage and that includes what happens when they get home. Partnering with The Full EV means our customers have a specialist they can trust to get their home charging right from day one. It’s a natural fit.”
Nathaniel Cars operates across four sites in South Wales, Cardiff, Newport, Cwmbran and Swansea and has been Wales’ number one seller of electric vehicles since 2023.
