Businesses across Wales are being invited to harness the next generation of AI and cyber talent through Tech Talent Cymru, a new graduate placement programme supported by funding from Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
Participating SMEs will receive more than £3,000 towards salary costs during the placement, helping them access specialist skills while giving graduates a meaningful first step into the technology sector.
Delivered by Darogan, Tech Talent Cymru connects Welsh SMEs with STEM graduates who have developed an understanding of artificial intelligence and cyber security through their university degrees. Graduates will also receive dedicated training before joining a business, alongside mentoring throughout the programme, enabling them to work on real projects from day one while continuing to receive support during their placement.
For employers, the programme offers an affordable way to bring new digital capability into the business and support digital transformation projects that many SMEs simply do not have the time or resources to tackle.

Tech Talent Cymru will be officially launched at GradCon Cymru, Darogan's annual graduate careers event, taking place at DEPOT Cardiff on 8 and 9 September. Businesses are encouraged to register their interest early so they can be matched with graduate talent best suited to their business needs.
