Cardiff-based Arad Research has secured a Welsh Government contract to evaluate skills projects funded through Creative Wales.
The research consultancy has been appointed to assess the effectiveness, impact and value for money of Creative Wales-funded skills projects, with the findings set to help inform future investment and support.
The evaluation will use a mixture of research methods, including surveys, interviews, case studies and analysis of project monitoring data.
The work comes as skills availability continues to be a significant issue for Wales' creative industries, with investment in workforce development playing an important role in supporting the sector's future growth.
Arad Research, an SME based in Cardiff, specialises in research, evaluation and policy analysis across areas including skills, education, economic development and public policy.
The contract is expected to run from 1 October 2026 until 31 March 2027, with provision for a one-month extension for contingencies.
The resulting evidence will be used by the Welsh Government and Creative Wales to assess how existing skills interventions have performed and help shape decisions around future skills investment.
