Lovell Celebrates 10th Consecutive RoSPA Gold With Prestigious President’s Award

By Built Environment · 28 Sep 2026 · 2 min read

Leading partnerships developer Lovell has received the prestigious President’s Award in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents’ (RoSPA) Health and Safety Awards, recognising 10 consecutive years of achieving Gold status across the South Wales and West region.

The prestigious award acknowledges Lovell for its continued commitment to the wellbeing of employees, contractors and members of the public across its sites and offices.

The President’s Award is presented to organisations that have achieved 10 to 14 consecutive RoSPA Gold Awards, demonstrating consistently high standards of occupational health and safety management over a decade.

This year’s achievement is particularly significant as it coincides with the 70th anniversary of the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards. Established in 1956, the internationally recognised awards celebrate organisations, teams and individuals that demonstrate an unwavering commitment to protecting lives and continually improving health and safety standards.

The awards attract more than 2,000 entrants each year from over 60 countries, allowing organisations to benchmark their performance, maintain consistent standards across their operations and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to improving workplace safety.

The RoSPA Gold Award is presented to organisations that demonstrate exceptional performance, including robust occupational health and safety management systems, outstanding control of risk, and very low levels of error, harm and loss.

Anthony Vagges, Regional Managing Director at Lovell, said:

“Receiving the President’s Award in recognition of our 10th consecutive RoSPA Gold is an incredibly proud moment for everyone across our South Wales and West team.

“Maintaining these high standards for a decade reflects the dedication, care and professionalism of our colleagues and partners, who continue to place health and safety at the heart of every project we deliver.

“This recognition is particularly special during the 70th anniversary of the RoSPA Awards. While we’re delighted to celebrate this achievement, we remain focused on continually improving our approach and ensuring everyone working on or visiting our sites returns home safely.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said:

“RoSPA congratulates Lovell on its RoSPA Health and Safety Award. The high standards Lovell has achieved are the result of hard work and dedication, of which Lovell should be rightfully proud and which RoSPA is delighted to honour.

“2026 is a landmark year for the RoSPA Awards as we reflect on how far workplace safety has come in 70 years. It is because of the commitment of health and safety leaders like Lovell that people today are safer at work than in the past, and sets an inspiring example for the future.”
