The economic and political outlook for 2024 is the focus of a North Wales event for company leaders.

The North Wales branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD) will welcome Alwen Williams, portfolio director of Ambition North Wales, to discuss the latest North Wales Growth Deal plans, and financial economist and Bangor University senior lecturer Professor Ed Jones for an economic update.

The event will be held on Friday March 15 at Bangor Business School.

David Roberts, chair of the region’s IoD, who also runs the North East Wales branch of advisory service The Alternative Board (TAB), said:

“Major developments are on the horizon for both Wales and the UK, with a General Election set for later in the year.

“Political change can cause uncertainty for those running an organisation, so receiving expert advice on current monetary trends from Ed will hopefully provide attendees with the confidence to adapt and feel secure in their plans.

“In addition, Alwen will share an overview on the regional Growth Deal, delving into the latest developments and opportunities for further prosperity.”

The event aims to bring together company directors across a range of sectors, from those in creative industries, through to construction and professional services.
