IT and Telecoms Firm Makes Strategic Acquisition

An expanding IT and telecoms provider to businesses has made a strategic acquisition in South Wales.

ITCS, headquartered in Bridgend and in its 20th year, bought Midas Solutions and Midas Telecom Solutions, which turned over a combined £1.2 million and are also based in Bridgend.

It is the sixth acquisition by ITCS to date – Poundbury Systems in King Charles’s model town of Poundbury, near Dorchester in Dorset, joined earlier this summer.

With ITCS’s turnover now nearing £7 million, its operational footprint extends through Pencoed Technology Park in Bridgend, the new South West office in Poundbury, a Midlands branch in Warwickshire and a data centre in London’s Docklands.

Brian Stokes, ITCS founder and Managing Director, said:

“Both Midas companies have earned long-standing respect for their robust voice and data solutions across the UK, as well as their IT help desk support, telecoms and maintenance services.

“Given the geographic and service overlap, this acquisition was a natural fit, enabling us to offer Midas clients an expanded portfolio of IT and telecom services delivered by a team of more than 60 dedicated professionals.

“ITCS remains committed to providing customer-focused IT and telecoms support across the UK.

“Our growth strategy includes further acquisitions where there is strong synergy, ideally targeting firms with turnovers between £1 million and £1.5 million.

“We look forward to welcoming additional clients into the ITCS family, where they can access best-in-class IT support, cutting-edge telecom solutions and a suite of advanced digital services.”

Brian added:

“We have a fantastic and dedicated team here at ITCS, including staff who have been with us from day one – they, like me, enjoy watching the company expand.

“IT outsourcing in the UK dominates expenditure in the IT market – many small-to-medium enterprises in the UK wholly rely on IT and telecoms for success but cannot justify the costs of an in-house help desk.

“Existing and prospective customers are benefitting from our acquisitions, with a broader range of innovative solutions and enhanced service delivery now at their fingertips.”
