Welsh SMEs interested in exploring how artificial intelligence could be used in their businesses are being invited to a free networking event in Anglesey.
The AI Show and Tell event will take place at M-SParc (Menai Science Park) in Gaerwen on Thursday 3 September, from 12pm to 2pm.
Designed for Welsh SME owners, managers and sole traders, the event will provide an opportunity to see practical examples of AI in use, learn about available support and meet other businesses exploring the technology. No technical background is required.
The event will cover:
- An introduction to AI and what it means for Welsh SMEs
- Information about the fully funded AI Awareness and Adoption Programme
- Real-world examples and live demonstrations of AI in action
- Networking and information about ongoing AI support available through Business Wales
Guest speaker Elgan Edwards from M-SParc will share examples of his work developing AI tools, including an AI content-creation agent, a booking system for M-SParc meeting rooms and automations allowing tenants to report issues.
Eryri Consulting will also discuss the safe and responsible adoption of AI tools, including information security, ISO 27001 and putting an AI policy in place.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to share their own AI projects and ideas during the session.
The event is free to attend and is open to Welsh-based small and medium-sized enterprises, with attendance restricted to two delegates per business.
The event is delivered by Business Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government.
